About Sandbach U3A

What is a U3A? – A U3A (University of the Third Age) brings together people in their ‘third age’, i.e. the age when you have finished working full-time or raising your family and have time to pursue your interests or just try something new by learning in a friendly and informal environment. There are no qualifications to pass – it is just for pleasure. Learning is its own reward, and it all works on a voluntary basis.

Sandbach & District U3A – currently has over 1300 members and 90 interest groups covering subjects such as art & crafts, languages, philosophy, computer studies, walking, keeping fit, bowls etc. The full list can be found under Groups in the menu at the top.

Our Social Committee – organise many trips, holidays and outings for members to enjoy, which are very popular. Further details can be found under Social in the menu at the top.
