Social Event – Instructions

1 – How to Book

Book Online

  • Go to the “Choose and Book” page by using the main menu or clicking the button below
  • If you are not already logged-in, do so using the link provided on the page
  • Select the relevant event from the programme list. This will open the event page
  • Look for the Email Event Organiser icon on the event page and click it
  • The “Email Event Organiser” page will open with instructions and a pre-written email ready to be sent.
  • You can add further text if you wish or just click the send button.
  • The organiser will contact you by email.
  • You can pay online, using a link in the email from the organiser, or by post, or pay at our information desk (details below)

Book by Visiting Our Information Desk

  • A member of the social committee normally attends our information desk and will be happy to take bookings and payments

Information Desk Details

We provide an information desk on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month between 10:30 and 11:30am. This is normally located upstairs in Sandbach Library but with the following exceptions:

Notice Board – There is a u3a notice board at the rear of Sandbach Library, ground floor.

u3a Post Box – Beneath the notice board in the Library is a post box where you can leave messages/letters. Please mark whose attention they are for and never leave any cash.

2 – Event Attendance Instructions

  • Please be at the departure point (normally the Military Arms) 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
  • Ensure that the organiser has ticked off your name before you board the coach.
  • If you are not able to take your place, please inform the organiser and if someone else will take your place, please give that person’s name to the organiser.
