Sandbach U3A

What is a u3a? – A u3a (University of the Third Age) brings together people in their ‘third age’, i.e. the age when you have finished working full-time or raising your family and have time to pursue your interests or just try something new by learning in a friendly and informal environment. There are no qualifications to pass – it is just for pleasure. Learning is its own reward, and it all works on a voluntary basis.

Sandbach & District u3a – currently has over 1300 members and over 100 interest groups covering subjects such as art & crafts, languages, philosophy, computer studies, walking, keeping fit, bowls etc. The full list can be found under Groups in the menu at the top.

The Social Committee – organises many trips and outings for members to enjoy, which are very popular. Further details can be found here.

Membership Cost – is currently just £12 a year plus nominal charges up to £2.50 for attending groups.
