After an interval of 2 years, the U3A quiz returned to St Mary’s Church Hall on 10 November 2021. Eighteen teams turned out to do battle and the usual winning team came out first again, even though they had lost two key members to run the quiz on the night. The margin between the first and the next two teams was only two points so , if they keep improving, there may be an upset next time.
Julie and Ian Clarke did a fine job of devising the questions and answers and Jim Thompson’s sound system allowed everybody in the hall to hear the questions, even if they didn’t know the answers. As usual Kevin Dean kept the score as well as being in the winning team (What could go wrong with that arrangement?).
