Longstock Water Gardens

In our talk at the Members’ Morning on 6 February we mentioned the Longstock Water Gardens near Stockbridge in Hampshire. They are part of the John Lewis estate and are open to the public in aid of charity on the first and third Sunday of the month from April to September in the afternoon from 2pm – 5pm.    The gardens are world renowned and well worth a visit if you are in the area.    Just a few hundred yards further up the road is the Longstock nursery where there is a huge variety of plants on sale and also a tea room for refreshments – also all part of the John Lewis estate.

Admission to the Water Gardens on the charity days is £6 for adults and £2 for children under 16.

Group visits – perhaps an idea for the Gardening Group – can be accommodated on weekdays by arrangement between 9am – 4pm. Contact the Water Gardens for information on 01264 810904.

The address for the gardens is Longstock Park Water Gardens, Longstock Park, Stockbridge, Hampshire, SO20 6EH.

We hope that you find the gardens as magical a place to visit as we have done over the years – there is always something beautiful to see whatever season.
