The autumn quiz proved a popular event again as 20 teams competed in St Mary’s Church Hall. One of the walking football teams ran away with the prize followed by the French conversation group. Coincidentally, the current holder of the FIFA World Cup is France. The third placed team included the scorer, so that is hardly surprising but well done to all who turned up and attempted the questions set by Julie Clarke assisted by husband Ian. Kevin Dean kept the score in a totally bona fide and transparent way and the sound system was courtesy of Jim Thompson.
