I have lived in Sandbach since 1987 having moved from Lincolnshire with Susan and our two boys. I trained as an accountant and have been a Chartered Accountant since 1985 working mainly within the Food Manufacturing sector. Susan and I have had the opportunity of being involved in the local community We moved initially to Sandbach Heath and Susan became involved with the St John’s play group.
As our two boys grew up in Sandbach I had an enjoyable and educational time as Scout Leader of the group based in Chapel Street. I also became involved with the Sandbach Youth football team as assistant manger until work commitments took priority. I retired in December 2021 and Susan suggested I joined the U3a . Having joined several groups : walking; poetry; guitar and yoga I realised the commitment of those involved in all aspects of Sandbach U3a and hope I can assist the committee in supporting Sandbach U3a for you the members.
