Choir Christmas Concert
The U3a choir will be performing their annual Christmas concert on Thursday 12 December in the Wesley Centre from 2.30-4.00. This will include a performance from the U3a Contemporary Dance group and there will be opportunities to sing along to some well known carols. Refreshments will be available, and donations would be appreciated.
Please do your best to support this event and feel free to bring along family and friends. We look forward to seeing you there.
Committee nominations
Never mind Christmas, the committee are well on with planning for our 2025 AGM! Our constitution requires us to have between 5 and 12 Trustees and we find ourselves in the enviable position of all 11 Trustees being willing to continue for a further year, as well as our Co-opted Treasurer standing for election as a full Trustee
In principle we could have a full complement of Trustees if they are all elected at the AGM but we are aware that a static committee does not future proof our u3a. As well as the elected Trustees we are also able to co-opt up to two additional Trustees so if any member is interested in joining the Trustees then we would certainly welcome one or two more members joining the Committee.
If you are interested in joining the Committee, you are welcome to discuss what is involved with the Chair, Linda Bilsborrow, or any of the other Trustees (shown on our website). If you do decide to stand for election you will need to complete a nomination form, with a proposer and seconder, and return this to the Secretary by 20 January 2025. You can contact Linda on chair@sandbachu3a.org.uk and she can also provide you with a copy of the nomination form.
