Most of my working life was spent in IT but I have also been a teacher of modern languages and mentor to new teachers. In addition, I have run my own business both in the UK and in Canada.

I grew up in Lancashire, studied at university in Wales and moved to Cheshire when I married. After many more house moves through Yorkshire,  Canada,  Berkshire,  West Sussex I returned to Cheshire in 2017, living first in Holmes Chapel and finally in Sandbach.

I joined the u3a when I moved to Cheshire and enjoy meeting people and making new friends in the various groups. Outside of the u3a I enjoy looking after my garden, cooking, travelling to new places and trying to learn languages online.
