Many years ago Rosie’s parents had a dairy farm. After her dad died, the farm was tenanted out. When the tenants left, her mother challenged Rosie to do something with the farm, and so her sheep farming journey and adventure began; so different from her former banking career working for Barclays Bank.
She undertook a four year agricultural degree course in Countryside Management at Reaseheath College and purchased 20 shearling Shropshire sheep plus one ram.
Rosie has worked tirelessly to improve her land and also to be a conservationist and an educator to many young people. She has many funny anecdotes to tell and is no longer… The Reluctant Shepherdess.
