Elizabeth Morris portrays the story of her great grandmother Violet Hamlett, the wife of a Winsford Salt Baron. Violet is forced to re-evaluate her privileged life when the tragedies of the Great War strike her family and expose the harsh working conditions of women in her husband’s saltworks.
Elizabeth, a direct descendant of Violet, will share a captivating tale of the stark contrasts between privilege and poverty in Winsford in the early 1900’s.
