On Thursday 28/11/19, from 1.30pm for an hour, a brave group of sporting U3Aers went out in the rain on the 3G artificial pitch of Sandbach United Football Ground to enjoy a sampler Walking Cricket session and test the newly acquired equipment.
Note although sky was overcast didn’t need the floodlights on as the plastic bats and wickets designed for Walking Cricket are a luminous yellow !!!
This new group lead by Mick Jackson plan to now meet at the same venue and time each Thursday afternoon.
Who will be the first to appear in the white flannels ?
